Biography
Napoli Centrale is a Neapolitan jazz-rock band founded in Naples in 1975 by saxophonist James Senese and drummer Franco Del Prete, named after the city's central station. Singing in Neapolitan dialect over funk-tinged jazz-rock, the band addressed emigration and southern poverty on 'Napoli Centrale' (1975), 'Mattanza' (1976) and 'Qualcosa ca nu 'mmore' (1977), then returned in the 1990s with 'Jesceallah' and ''Ngazzate nire'.
