Album Notes & Community Reviews
Like many of their German progressive rock contemporaries, Novalis adapted their symphonic tendencies to the slicker, more concise aesthetics of the new decade. 'Augenblicke' largely abandons sprawling epics in favor of melodic, highly accessible art-rock driven by polished synthesizer arrangements. While alienating purists, the album successfully maintained the band's commercial presence in the evolving European market.
