Continuing to pioneer their vibrant synthesis of West African rhythms and Western rock instrumentation, the London-based ensemble released their buoyant sophomore album. Produced by Tony Visconti, the record bursts with complex polyrhythms, exuberant horn sections, and swirling Hammond organs, perfectly marrying Ghanaian highlife with progressive jazz-funk. The title track, with its uplifting, choral-like refrain, became a massively influential global anthem.
