Returning after several years of relative quiet, the beloved Connecticut rock group delivered a tremendously fuzzy, melodic slice of 90s-worshipping alternative rock. The album perfectly balances Steve Hartlett's lethargic, highly sensitive vocal delivery against an incredibly dense, blaring wall of heavily distorted guitars and driving percussion. It was heavily celebrated as a wildly satisfying, no-frills masterclass in pure noise pop execution.
