Album Notes & Community Reviews
Living up to its name, 'Gothic' is the profoundly influential album that birthed the gothic metal subgenre. Paradise Lost tempers incredibly heavy, aggressive death-doom metal with soaring orchestral synthesizers and female operatic vocals, cultivating a deeply somber, melancholic, and pessimistic atmosphere.
