Album Notes & Community Reviews

Executing one of the most polarizing stylistic pivots in heavy music history, the doom metal pioneers entirely abandoned aggressive guitars for sleek, Depeche Mode-inspired electropop. The melancholic songwriting remained intact, but the heavy reliance on drum machines and lush synthesizers deeply alienated their traditional metallic fanbase.
