Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded at the Academy Studio in Yorkshire, this debut laid the foundational blueprints for the death-doom subgenre. Its sluggish tempos, guttural growls, and bleak atmosphere sharply contrasted with the speed-obsessed death metal acts of the era, establishing the British group as pioneers of gothic metal.
