Album Notes & Community Reviews

Under the eccentric leadership of George Clinton, the vocal group transformed into a bizarre, wildly eclectic funk-rock collective. Boasting heavily fuzzed-out guitars, bizarre humor, and deep gospel harmonies, this idiosyncratic debut completely shattered the conventions of contemporary R&B and laid the essential groundwork for the entire P-Funk mythology.
