Album Notes & Community Reviews

Culled from a single, legendary performance at the Markthalle in Hamburg, Germany, this live document captures the jam band shedding their sprawling stadium sound for a tight, intensely funk-driven club set. Highlights include a fiercely syncopated rendition of the Talking Heads' 'Cities' and an extensive, improvisational take on 'Mike's Song'. It acts as a perfect snapshot of their transition towards 'cow funk' in the late 90s.
