Album Notes & Community Reviews

Richie Furay's final outing with the foundational country-rock group sees the band expanding their signature harmonized, pedal steel-driven sound to include sprawling, ambitious song structures. The nine-minute title track, an homage to Gram Parsons, notably incorporates lush orchestration and progressive-leaning shifts in tempo and tone. The record marks a creative peak for their early era, balancing bright, pop-oriented country with sophisticated, deeply emotional storytelling.
