Album Notes & Community Reviews

The final album featuring the original Pretenders lineup before drug overdoses claimed two members, 'Pretenders II' brilliantly refines their gritty new wave sound. Chrissie Hynde's effortlessly cool vocals dominate over James Honeyman-Scott鈥檚 remarkably melodic, ringing guitars, producing a deeply anxious, incredibly energetic, and nocturnal pop-rock triumph.
