Album Notes & Community Reviews
The self-funded independent debut captures the classic lineup's raw energy during two nights at the Berkeley Square in California. Les Claypool鈥檚 percussive bass techniques and Larry LaLonde's angular guitar work established the band's 'funk-metal' fusion before their major label signing. The recording is noted for its idiosyncratic humor and technical rhythmic complexity, which became a blueprint for the 1990s alternative scene.
