Primus

Primus is a highly influential American rock band known for its unique and unclassifiable sound, which merges funk, metal, and experimental rock. Formed in El Sobrante, California, the group is centered around the virtuosic and eccentric bass playing of frontman Les Claypool. The band broke into the mainstream with their 1991 major-label debut, 'Sailing the Seas of Cheese', on #Interscope Records#, which featured the iconic track 'Jerry Was a Race Car Driver'. Their follow-up, 'Pork Soda', achieved even greater success. Known for their quirky humor, complex musicianship, and a catchphrase of "Primus Sucks!," they have cultivated a dedicated cult following.
