Album Notes & Community Reviews

On their seventh studio album 'Villains', Queens of the Stone Age pivoted towards a more dance-oriented and rhythmically focused sound, a shift guided by the pop sensibilities of producer Mark Ronson. The album infuses the band's signature desert rock with glam, synthesizers, and uptempo grooves, evident on tracks like "The Way You Used to Do". Historically, 'Villains' is significant as the first Queens of the Stone Age album to feature no special guest musicians and the first to include Jon Theodore as a full-time member, solidifying the core five-piece lineup.
