Album Notes & Community Reviews

Following the departure of Ronnie James Dio, guitarist Ritchie Blackmore overhauled the band's lineup to pursue a more commercial, radio-friendly sound. Featuring Graham Bonnet on lead vocals, the album successfully pivoted away from mystical lyricism towards accessible hard rock and AOR hooks. The shift paid off with major chart successes, significantly altering the trajectory of the band's career.
