Album Notes & Community Reviews
Departing Deep Purple to pursue his distinct medieval-rock visions, Ritchie Blackmore teamed up with vocalist Ronnie James Dio to form this legendary outfit. Their eponymous debut is a fiercely energetic, intensely passionate hard rock album, blending heavily melodic guitar riffing with remarkably poetic, beautifully uplifting fantasy themes.
