Album Notes & Community Reviews
A landmark album for both guitarist Ralph Towner and the ECM label. 'Solstice' is a masterpiece of 'chamber jazz,' defined by its crystalline acoustics, intricate compositions, and the stunning, near-telepathic interplay of the quartet. The music is atmospheric, introspective, and deeply melodic, a definitive statement of the influential ECM sound.
