Album Notes & Community Reviews

Having disbanded his salsa orchestra after a farewell concert on New Year's Eve 1975, Barretto cut this second Atlantic fusion album with a smaller jazz, rock and Latin group. The crossover failed with both audiences, and Barretto later admitted he had let the label dictate his direction. Within a year he was back on Fania, where 'Rican/Struction' won Album of the Year at the Latin NY awards.
