Close

Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Close' captures the deeply emotive and agonizing atmosphere of depressive suicidal black metal, spearheaded by the prolific solo artist Damian Ojeda. The project contrasts blistering, lo-fi black metal sections with sprawling, melancholic post-rock interludes and distant, tortured shrieks. The album solidified Sadness as a leading, highly emotional force within the modern underground blackgaze community.
