Album Notes & Community Reviews

On their third full-length, Red Dragon, SALEM plunges deeper into the sonic abyss they first charted, fusing the foundational 'drag' aesthetic鈥攇uttural, screwed vocal samples and cavernous reverb鈥攚ith a newfound industrial ferocity. Brittle trap hi-hats and distorted 808s skitter beneath monolithic synth pads, while moments of shoegaze-adjacent melody offer fleeting, deceptive warmth. A paranoid meditation on digital decay and post-industrial ruin, the album is a work of punishing density, solidifying the trio鈥檚 legacy as purveyors of a uniquely American dread and sonic extremity.
