Album Notes & Community Reviews

Produced meticulously by her future husband Michael Cretu, this debut solo effort launched the former Arabesque singer into immense international pop stardom. 'The Long Play' utilizes sleek, highly polished synthesizer arrangements and propulsive drum machines, entirely epitomizing the mid-80s continental Euro-disco sound. It spawned several massive pan-European hits, notably 'Maria Magdalena', which dominated club and radio charts worldwide.
