Continuing their reign as stalwarts of the Finnish underground, Sargeist's 'Feeding the Crawling Shadows' delivers a freezing, uncompromising barrage of traditional black metal. The record is dominated by Shatraug's razor-sharp tremolo picking and the band's signature blend of melancholy and raw, lo-fi aggression. It perfectly captures the sinister, occult-driven atmosphere that defines the purist approach to the genre.
