Biography
Sargeist is a Finnish black metal band formed in Lappeenranta in 1999 as the solo project of Shatraug of *Horna*. Joined in 2002 by *Behexen* members Hoath Torog and Horns, and later bassist Vainaja, the band recorded 'Satanic Black Devotion', 'Disciple of the Heinous Path' and 'Let the Devil In', defining a melodic, old-school Finnish black metal sound. After that lineup split in 2016, Sargeist released 'Unbound' and, with Shatraug back on vocals alongside VJS, Spellgoth and Nur-i-siyah, 'Flame Within Flame' in 2025.
