Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Norwegian veterans drastically streamline their sound, stripping away symphonic elements in favor of infectious, mid-tempo groove and classic rock structures. This accessible 'black 'n' roll' approach polarized extreme metal traditionalists but significantly expanded the band's commercial footprint. The repetitive, marching riffs provide a highly effective foundation for Satyr's commanding vocal delivery.
