Album Notes & Community Reviews

Arriving seven years after their previous release, 'Return to the Void' finds the veteran ensemble returning to the bleak, isolating atmosphere of their early output. The album relies on a slightly stripped-back production style, utilizing mournful synthesizer melodies and agonizingly slow tempos to articulate profound existential despair.
