Album Notes & Community Reviews
Reuniting roughly a decade after their initial split, the Small Faces attempted to recapture their mid-60s energy with 'Playmates'. The album leans into straightforward pop rock and rhythm and blues, eschewing the psychedelic complexities of their later classic period. Despite high anticipation, the release struggled to match the critical acclaim of their pioneering early work.
