Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded in the immediate aftermath of his highly publicized murder trial and the tragic death of 2Pac, the MC's sophomore effort carries a distinctly darker, more subdued tone. With Dr. Dre departing Death Row Records, production duties were largely handled by DJ Pooh and Daz Dillinger, shifting slightly away from the pristine synthesizers of his debut. The sprawling, guest-heavy project documents an era of profound transition and turmoil for West Coast hip-hop.
