The Texan duo debuted with an incredibly lo-fi, deeply unsettling exploration of guitar-based drone music. Heavily utilizing four-track cassette recorders, the pair stretched heavily distorted guitar tones and obscure film dialogue into slow, isolating ambient textures. The claustrophobic, medication-inspired soundscapes laid a remarkably dark foundation before their transition into pristine, orchestral minimalism.
