Functioning as his sophomore solo release, this analog synthesizer excursion finds the highly prolific electronic composer deeply entrenched in the rhythmic, sequencer-driven traditions of the Berlin School. 'Traveler' utilizes cascading arpeggios, steady percussive pulses, and sweeping synthetic textures to create a highly kinetic, cosmic atmosphere. The propulsive, structured approach stands in stark contrast to the vast, beatless drone environments that would dominate his later, more celebrated ambient masterworks.
