Album Notes & Community Reviews

The debut studio album from the British quartet captures Sweet firmly entrenched in their Chinn-Chapman guided bubblegum pop phase. 'Funny How Sweet Co-Co Can Be' is filled with highly infectious, lightweight pop-rock hooks that dominated early seventies radio, despite the band's desire to play heavier material. The record stands as a fascinating precursor to the hard-edged glam rock identity they would aggressively adopt in the following years.
