For their final studio album, Talking Heads traveled to Paris to record with a myriad of international guest musicians, resulting in a dense, sprawling exploration of worldbeat. The record is infused with complex Latin and African polyrhythms, lush brass arrangements, and David Byrne's increasingly abstract, political lyricism. While departing significantly from their post-punk roots, it stands as a vibrant, rhythmic, and highly eclectic conclusion to their groundbreaking career.
