Following the dissolution of Swans, Michael Gira formed The Angels of Light to explore acoustic, highly orchestrated neofolk. 'New Mother' is a deeply poetic, surreal, and somber gothic country record built on dark, ominous atmospheres and highly melodic acoustic instrumentation.
