Album Notes & Community Reviews
As one of the final releases featuring the original lineup, 'Animalism' finds the group largely abandoning pop hits for gritty, extended rhythm and blues covers. Eric Burdon's commanding, soulful vocals anchor the driving, organ-heavy arrangements, with occasional production flourishes hinting at the impending psychedelic era.
