Assembling outtakes from the abandoned 'Smile' project and various studio singles, The Beach Boys released an incredibly eclectic, yet surprisingly cohesive pop-rock document. '20/20' is beautifully warm and fiercely melodic, matching remarkably uplifting, highly soothing sunshine-pop vocal harmonies with deeply lush, occasionally psychedelic baroque arrangements.
