Album Notes & Community Reviews
The first installment of Leyland Kirby's harrowing, six-part sonic simulation of early-onset dementia. In this initial stage, the music is still beautiful and largely coherent, utilizing looped, crackling 1920s and 30s ballroom jazz samples that evoke a hazy, dreamlike nostalgia. It lulls the listener into a false sense of security before the terrifying structural decay of the subsequent chapters begins.
