Album Notes & Community Reviews
The Cramps perfected their trashy, B-movie psychobilly aesthetic with this hyper-sexual, incredibly energetic homage to vintage rock and roll. Poison Ivy鈥檚 fuzz-drenched guitar lines and Lux Interior鈥檚 manic, highly suggestive vocal performances gleefully pervert 1950s rockabilly tropes. 'A Date With Elvis' is a wild, humorous, and heavily rhythmic party record steeped in underground sleaze.
