Album Notes & Community Reviews
Operating as one of the first West Coast punk bands to secure a major label contract, the Los Angeles outfit delivered a debut defined by breakneck speeds and absurd humor. Their sound heavily contrasted with the abrasive political anger of their peers, opting instead to filter 1960s pop sensibilities and cartoon aesthetics through a frantic punk lens. The inclusion of high-speed covers firmly established their uniquely playful, manic identity.
