Album Notes & Community Reviews

The debut album from The Flaming Lips is a ragged, heavily distorted collision of noisy post-punk and drug-fueled garage rock. Anchored by Wayne Coyne鈥檚 eccentric, straining vocals and relentless, feedback-drenched guitars, the record channels a dark, highly energetic neo-psychedelic atmosphere. It is a raw, primitive, and surprisingly angry genesis for the legendary alternative rock band.
