Album Notes & Community Reviews

The ensemble's second studio album marks the final appearance of Gram Parsons before his departure, featuring a blend of traditional twang and soul influences. The recording highlights the group's ability to maintain high-energy country foundations while experimenting with fuzzy psychedelic guitar textures and gospel vocal layering. It remains a key artifact of the early 1970s Southern California scene, prioritizing a sophisticated crossover between rural traditions and urban rock energy.
