Biography

The Flying Burrito Brothers are a pioneering American country rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1968 by former *Byrds* members Gram Parsons and Chris Hillman. Their debut, 'The Gilded Palace of Sin' (1969), released by #A&M Records#, fused country, soul and rock into Parsons' vision of Cosmic American Music and became a cornerstone of the genre, influencing generations of Americana and alternative country artists, among them the *Eagles*, co-founded by former Burrito Bernie Leadon. Despite constant lineup changes and modest sales, the band continued through revivals led by 'Sneaky' Pete Kleinow, Gib Guilbeau and John Beland, and its lineage survives as the Burrito Brothers.
