Album Notes & Community Reviews

Serving as the debut full-length from Adrian Borland's early group, 'Calling On Youth' is often recognized as one of the first self-released British punk albums. The production possesses an undeniably raw, garage-rock energy, yet it simultaneously reveals the melodic sensibilities and melancholic lyrical themes Borland would later perfect with The Sound. The independent spirit of the recording cemented its place in the DIY movement.
