Album Notes & Community Reviews
Spearheaded by the eccentric Julian Cope, the debut album from The Teardrop Explodes perfectly captures the vibrant neo-psychedelic energy of the late-70s Liverpool scene. 'Kilimanjaro' is a fiercely energetic, highly rhythmic collision of punchy brass sections, driving post-punk basslines, and wonderfully surreal, deeply quirky new wave melodies.
