Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Heathen' is a sprawling, oppressive, yet strangely beautiful opus from Baton Rouge sludge titans Thou. Across its massive runtime, the album juxtaposes crushing, distorted riffs with acoustic interludes and clean vocals, exploring themes of nature and defiance. It is an exhausting but rewarding listen that expands the boundaries of sludge into something epic and deeply atmospheric.
