Album Notes & Community Reviews

Moving aggressively away from extreme metal, Johan Edlund steered Tiamat heavily into the realms of polished gothic rock and darkwave. The record is driven by highly accessible, Sisters of Mercy-inspired basslines and remarkably gloomy synthesizers, as famously heard on their popular cover of the Rolling Stones' 'Sympathy for the Devil'.
