Album Notes & Community Reviews
'Illumination' marks the final studio appearance of vocalist Vibeke Stene with the pioneering Norwegian gothic metal band. The production tempers the group's symphonic bombast in favor of darker, more melancholic and straightforward metal arrangements. The resulting atmosphere is deeply romantic and somber, concluding a definitive era for the ensemble.
