Album Notes & Community Reviews

Conceived as a companion piece to Bono's memoir 'Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story', this sprawling project finds the legendary rock quartet completely reimagining forty tracks from their extensive catalog. Stripping away the stadium-ready bombast of their original recordings, the band relies on intimate piano rock and acoustic instrumentation. The resulting arrangements emphasize vulnerability, presenting a deeply mellow and atmospheric retrospective of their career.
