Album Notes & Community Reviews
Italian trio Ufomammut's third album, 'Snailking', is a monolithic and crushing work of psychedelic doom metal. The record builds upon a foundation of sludgy, low-tuned riffs, layering them with swirling electronics and cosmic soundscapes to create a hypnotic and immersive sonic journey. With its long, repetitive song structures and overwhelmingly heavy atmosphere, 'Snailking' cemented the band's reputation as masters of psychedelic, riff-based heaviness.
