The Constellatory Practice

Album Notes & Community Reviews

The endlessly eccentric Dutch duo continues to completely eschew traditional extreme metal boundaries, delivering a profoundly slow, heavily intoxicating doom metal ritual. The album entirely relies on agonizingly lethargic, droning guitar riffs layered underneath IX's utterly unique, unhinged operatic clean vocals and vast, cosmic ambient synthesizer interludes. It is heavily revered by cult fans as an overwhelmingly hypnotic, occult masterpiece of blackened doom.
