Album Notes & Community Reviews
Austin, Texas band Votive unleashes a chaotic and emotional torrent of sound on their album 'An Infinite Capacity for Joy.' The record is a fantastic example of emoviolence, a genre that blends the raw aggression of powerviolence with the emotional intensity of screamo. The songs are short, fast, and chaotic, with screamed vocals and dissonant, angular guitar work creating a sense of utter desperation and catharsis.
