Watermusic

Created prior to his iconic 'Disintegration Loops' project, this expansive ambient piece similarly relies on the degradation and repetition of analog tape. 'Watermusic' consists of an immensely slow, hour-long synthesizer loop originally recorded in the early 1980s, slowly undulating with aquatic, textural warmth. The composition is a meditative exercise in minimalism, emphasizing the physical deterioration of the magnetic medium.
